Volunteers

North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging is always in need of caring volunteers.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions.

  • A Matter of Balance fall prevention coaches.   Volunteers work in teams of two to lead a series of eight fall prevention classes that comprise the workshop.

  • Benefits Counselors - Volunteers help clients understand their Medicare benefits and make decisions regarding supplement coverage, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Part D prescription drug plans. 

  • Senior Medicare Patrol Fraud and Abuse Educators - Volunteers help educate Medicare beneficiaries on ways they can protect themselves from Medicare fraud.

  • Ombudsmen - Volunteers advocate for the rights of people who live in skilled nursing centers and assisted living facilities.  

  • Taking Control of Your Health Coaches - Volunteers work in teams of two to lead a series of six small-group classes that comprise a workshop and help participants manage diabetes, chronic pain, and other on-going health concerns.
