Summary
Regional population grew by more than 230,000 people last year, bringing the estimated January 1, 2025, population to 8,718,500. Fort Worth (32,191) added more residents than any other city, followed by Dallas (29,510), Celina (15,980), McKinney (11,310), and Princeton (9,838). For the third straight year, Collin County led the region in population growth, adding almost 76,000 new residents, followed by Tarrant County with over 35,000 and Denton County with over 31,000. The region's population has grown by nearly 900,000 people in the five years since the 2020 Census.
