Regional Strategic Planning
NCTCOG and the Criminal Justice Policy Development Committee (CJPDC) recognize the importance of assessing local needs and identifying gaps in services. Criminal Justice strategic planning is encouraged throughout the 16-county service area and NCTCOG staff are available as time permits to provide technical assistance for justice-related planning. Local priorities will be identified by the CJPDC and will be assessed during the application scoring process.
Grant application workshop attendees will be made aware of the importance of justice-related strategic planning. All planning documents will be posted on NCTCOG's website.
In December 2024, a Plan Year 2026 Criminal Justice Regional Priorities Survey was distributed to NCTCOG Criminal Justice contacts. Below are the Local Priorities identified via the survey; these will apply to the FY26 Office of the Governor's Public Safety Office (PSO) grant cycle. The full Regional Strategic Plan will be developed later in 2025.
