Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day

Walk & Roll to School Day is October 7, 2026!

National Walk & Roll to School Day is a fun celebration where students, families, school staff, and community members walk, bike, and roll to school together. This event empowers the community to use active transportation to get to school, encouraging physical and mental well-being and improving air quality along the way.

Since 2019, 628 schools in the region held their own Walk & Roll to School Day events. NCTCOG has encouraged student and school participation by providing event planning and promotional resources, supporting road safety education and offering opportunities for participating schools to win giveaways for students.
