The West Windsor Extension project is a pedestrian improvement project connecting a residential neighborhood with the River Walk at Central Park via multi-use trails and roundabouts to improve safety. The River Walk at Central Park  is a mixed-use development consisting of residential apartments, retail stores, a grocery and a medical office. Windsor Drive connects to the entrance of the development which is lined with shopfronts along the newly constructed street.

Nearby amenities include Amy Park, which features a pond and benches throughout and local restaurants. These amenities are connected by the trail, allowing residents or visitors to walk or bike the 0.6 mile distance. 

The project cost of $3,733,200 was funded through public-private partnerships.
