Pavement and Bridge (PM2)

The Pavement and Bridge Condition Measures (commonly known as PM2) are six measures related to the condition of key elements of roadway infrastructure:
  • Percent of Interstate pavements in Good condition
  • Percent of Interstate pavements in Poor condition
  • Percent of Non-Interstate National Highway System (NHS) pavements in Good condition
  • Percent of Non-Interstate National Highway System (NHS) pavements in Poor condition
  • Percent of NHS bridges by deck area classified as in Good condition
  • Percent of NHS bridges by deck area classified as in Poor condition

Targets are established biennially for these measures as part of a four-year performance period, the second of which began in 2022. NCTCOG adopted 2024 and 2026 targets for these measures in July 2023. The Streamlined Project Delivery team coordinates this measure.
