The Regional Codes Coordinating Committee provides expertise and support to the Executive Board and Environment and Development Department staff on issues relating to building construction and the standardization of building codes.

Primary Responsibility of Committee:
The Regional Codes Coordinating Committee researches and provides recommendations on the standardization of municipal construction codes.
Number of Committee Members: 28
Terms of Office: Members of the Regional Codes Coordinating Committee serve two year terms, with one half of the members appointed each year by NCTCOG's Executive Board. The Chair and Vice Chair are appointed annually by the Board.
Special Requirements: The committee structure, established by the Executive Board in 1967, is comprised of local government officials, architects, engineers, contractors, educators, property management professionals, insurance representatives, builders and developers. Visit the Regional Building Codes Program website for Code Amendments and other regional resources.
