Eastern Dallas, Kaufman, and Rockwall Counties Regional Transit Study Map
This study aims to develop a comprehensive public transportation plan for cities in eastern Dallas County that are not members of Dallas Area Rapid Transit, as well as Kaufman and Rockwall counties. Efforts will focus on strategic implementation and coordination with other planning efforts. The study will identify transit options, funding and implementation strategies, governance structure and institutional delivery approach of recommended services or projects, and potential impacts on the community. A Project Advisory Committee and public outreach survey and meetings, along with specific goals and objectives, will be developed that will guide the transit planning process, recommendations, and implementation.
