2005-2006 Call for Projects
Status: Complete
Centennial Park is a master-planned mixed-use development located adjacent to the Spring Valley DART Station in Richardson. The mixed-use development for this project included residential units, retail, and office spaces that contribute to a unique and entertaining living environment for the community.
The site includes the DART Plaza which integrates Centennial Park with the Spring Valley Station. Sidewalks, public parks, hike and bike trails, and pedestrian paths provide connection points from the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses in the community directly to the Spring Valley DART Station.
Centennial Park provides a unique environment that provides rail access and an urban lifestyle for an area that includes some of the largest employers in the Metroplex, including Texas Instruments, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and the Telecom Corridor.
Along with the City of Richardson, NCTCOG provided funding to construct street infrastructure, pedestrian amenities, a bicycle trail, and rail transit improvements.
The total project cost of $1,375,000 was funded through public-private partnerships.
