Fair Housing Webinar

Jeffrey Riddle with the Texas Workforce Commission provided an overview of the Federal and Texas Fair Housing Acts, common terms, understanding the protected categories, exemptions to the Acts, ways to recognize issues/discriminatory practices, understanding disparate impact, reasonable accommodations/modifications, and zoning and land use.

April is Fair Housing Month and affirmatively furthering Fair Housing is a goal central to the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) Program. NCTCOG's Environment & Development Department assists TDA in the administration of the TxCDBG Community Development Fund.
