Silver Line Routes-to-Rail Stations

A study was completed in 2024 to analyze pedestrian first/last mile connectivity around seven Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line rail stations in Addison, Carrollton, Dallas, Plano, and Richardson. This Study focuses on pedestrian routes within one half mile around each of the rail stations. A review was conducted of existing conditions for sidewalks, trees, and gaps in the existing network, and also examined where improvements could be made to further enhance accessibility for pedestrians to the rail stations.

Proposed corridors for sidewalk improvements (approximately 27 miles of sidewalk gaps) were identified and ranked as High, Medium, or Low priority based on the ability to increase access for the greatest number of potential transit riders. The final report, a map of each study area, and Opinions of Probable Construction Costs tables for all recommended improvements can be viewed here

The interactive map displays priority sidewalk gaps for improvement within one half mile around each of the Silver Line rail stations.
