Old Town Transit-Oriented Development - City of Lewisville

The Old Town Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Sustainable Development Project was funded to support mixed-used development in the Old Town area. The project includes sidewalk improvements and bike lanes and on-street parking as a buffer between pedestrian and vehicular traffic. It also improves a pedestrian connection from the Denton County Transportation Authority rail station. The mixed-use development in the Old Town area includes the Downtown Creative Arts Center and Art Lofts, which provides space for office, retail, residential and civic uses.

The infrastructure project was funded through the 2009-2010 Sustainable Development Call for Projects. NCTCOG awarded $3 million with a local match of $750,000 from the City of Lewisville for street construction, pedestrian amenities, and intersection improvements.
