Continental Mixed-Use - City of Dallas

The Continental Mixed-Use project is a redevelopment of an existing 11-story vacant office in downtown Dallas converted into a mixed-use development with residential units and ground level retail with underground parking. It is located on the southwest corner of Commerce and St. Paul streets. The development is connected by DART bus transit route and is about a quarter-mile away from a DART Light Rail station. The development is also adjacent to Main Street Garden Park. Upon completion the project is planned to add approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of retail use and 200 residential units. About 20 percent of the total residential units will be at 80 percent of Dallas Area Median Family Income Levels.

This infrastructure project was funded through the 2009-2010 Sustainable Development Call for Projects. NCTCOG funded $607,739 with a local match of $151,935 from the City of Dallas for intersection improvements, pedestrian amenities, and landscaping to connect the mixed-use development to surrounding transportation networks in the downtown.
