The success of past Bike to Work Day events is evidence that more and more residents of the Dallas - Fort Worth area are deciding to commute by an alternative means, and do their part to improve air quality standards within the region. With each commute made by an alternative mode of transportation, the region as a whole reaps the benefits as it leads to a reduction in traffic congestion and pushes us closer to achieving air quality attainment standards. Our goal is to ensure the needs of alternative commuters are met so that more individuals are encouraged to participate, and the 2012 Bike to Work Day is even more successful than last year's.
