Metropolitan Transportation Plan
The Metropolitan Transportation Plan acts as a blueprint to guide the spending of federal and state transportation funds in the Dallas-Fort Worth region for the next 20 years and beyond. The plan recommends projects, programs, and policies that aim to improve the quality of life for all residents in the region as part of an ongoing and collaborative planning effort.
Mobility Plans
The current Metropolitan Transportation Plan, Mobility 2045 Update, was adopted by the Regional Transportation Council on June 9, 2022. The plan recommends projects, programs, and policies that aim to meet the Mobility Plan goal themes of mobility, quality of life, system sustainability, and implementation. Previous Mobility Plan summaries are also available.
Map Your Experience
Map Your Experience gathers continuous input on transportation from members of the public just like you who are experts in their own daily travel experiences throughout the region. MTP Policy Bundle
The Mobility Plan, the region’s current Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), makes recommendations consisting of policies, programs, and projects that reflect regional priorities and support Mobility Plan goals. However, the construction of infrastructure projects alone cannot achieve the goals of the plan. To encourage the development of alternative, strategic solutions, the Mobility Plan includes a voluntary list of policies that local governments and transportation agencies can choose to adopt.
