Emissions contributing to ozone formation come from many areas. The main emission sources categories are:

  • Area - bakeries, paint shops, dry cleaners, etc.
  • Non-road - construction, aircraft, locomotive, lawn & garden, etc.
  • On-road - cars, trucks, and buses
  • Point - cement and power plants
  • Biogenic/Natural – forest fires, vegetation
