North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging

Our mission is to create and maintain a coordinated network of health and social services for older adults and family caregivers. Our goal is to help older adults have the best quality of life and live as independently as possible.

Our staff, volunteers, and partner organizations provide information, advocacy, and direct services. We're funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Community Living and the State of Texas, through the Health and Human Services Commission.

All of our services are made available at no charge to those who qualify, but we give priority to older people and family caregivers with greatest economic need, greatest social need, and disability.

About NCTAAA

The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging (NCTAAA) is a program of the North Central Texas Council of Governments. It is part of a national network, created by the Older Americans Act of 1965, to serve people aged 60+ and their family caregivers.

Funded in part by Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the NCTAAA provides information, advocacy, education, and in-home/community-based services that promote aging with dignity. The agency is guided by the Regional Aging Advisory Committee, which consists of two representatives from each of the 14 counties in its service area.

We do know that budget cuts for the coming year are substantial and will affect our reach in the community for some of our most needed programs and services.  Therefore, for the first time in our history, we are actively seeking donations which will be used to maintain our services.

Whether you are able to donate a one-time amount of $5, $50, $500 or $5,000, every dollar helps your community. Or, join our group of monthly supporters to ensure everyone receives the services or program they need for a healthier life today and throughout the year!
